Excellence in Renewables Celebrated at British Renewable Energy Awards

GreenPower was delighted to attend the prestigious British Renewable Energy Awards last night at the InterContinental Hotel in London as the guest of their joint venture partner Thrive Renewables.

Their joint project, the three turbine Drumduff Wind Farm built on a former open cast coal mine, was nominated for the Outstanding Project Award. This award is for a company that has developed an outstanding project in either renewable energy, energy storage or low carbon transport infrastructure. Although not successful on this occasion, many congratulations to the winner: Orsted’s Walney Extension Offshore Wind Farm.

GreenPower was thrilled that Thrive Renewables won the Financial Leadership Award having worked with them closely on the Drumduff project. Monika Paplaczyk, Investment Manager of Thrive Renewables, collected the award accompanied by John Morgan, GreenPower Director

John said, “It’s always a pleasure to spend time with Thrive and it’s been fantastic working with the team on our Drumduff Wind Farm. I’m delighted that their leadership and expertise has been recognised in winning the Financial Leadership Award.”

An inspirational evening hosted by the Renewable Energy Association, the British Renewable Energy Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of companies and individuals who have done something amazing in renewables and clean technology over the past year. Many congratulations to all of the winners.
