The new-look GreenPower stand at the Renewable UK Onshore Wind conference in Glasgow this week.
The conference was excellent with a lot of discussion based on the growing need for more onshore wind in the UK energy mix. The message from the RUK Chief Executive Hugh McNeal was: ‘You can’t be serious about net zero without being serious about more onshore wind.’ This led to much discussion around a reformed planning system enabling access to locations with good wind yield and the various different fresh approaches being taken to deliver new projects without subsidy.
